1 John 1:4 And these things write we unto you that your joy may be full.

.
Do you want your joy to be full? John tells you how. He said we have witnessed and proclaim to you the testimony of Christ. The life John and others saw is what he seeks to convey to the readers. John says this is life, which is summed up and was shown forth in Jesus Christ. What we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. To enjoy and share in the deep sense of satisfaction and purpose that knowing Christ and walking with him brings full joy. People if your not saved and walking with him you will not have full satisfaction and joy. Listen to this If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth. People who say they have fellowship with God and walk in sin they are telling a lie. People who claim to be enjoying a close relationship with God, but whose lives are clearly characterized by sin are telling a lie. That is the word of God. People who say they never sin are telling a lie, for those who own up to their sin can find forgiveness, while those who are blind to their sin will be left in it. Sin is a reality and forgiveness is the remedy for it. God is light to walk in this light is to live free from bondage to sin to make communion between believers and God was Jesus’ death on the cross. His blood is the antidote for and ultimate defense against sin’s presence and power. If your living in sin don’t tell me you are walking in the light and your joy is full because I can not believe you. Because you are saying a lie contrary to the teaching of the word of God. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
This is the message and declare unto you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all. To walk in the light is to live in obedience to God’s commandments. You can’t walk in darkness and be in the light. There is conditions for fellowship with God. If your going to be in fellowship with God you have to confess your sins and walk in the light. He said I am telling you this so you will not want to live in sin but if you do sin confess it we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. You can be forgiven of your sins. If you want to check yourselves out to see how you stand with God ask your self do you have a desire to keep his commandments? If the answer is no then don’t tell me that you are in fellowship with God. Because you are telling a lie. And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Obedience to Christ’s commandments is the down to earth test of our faith.
