Matthew 18:19
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

If two of you agree about anything in prayer! Two people having faith to agree about what they are praying about it shall be done for them of my father in heaven. Does this mean God will answer every prayer we pray or ask for? Well some things can cause failure in prayers unanswered. Disobedience is one thing. Secret sin and indifferences are another. Also neglect of mercy and instability and stubbornness.

Also self-indulgence! James said ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

So what is the answer? We have to be humble and pray and seek the Lord turn from our wicked ways. We have to be whole-hearted in our prayers. We have to have faith. We have to be righteous. And we have to be obedient. This is what the bible says. I think also some times we have to accept the fact that we don’t always know the plans of God and sometimes we might pray for something that does not go along with what God has planned. Then we have to accept that God knows what is best. The presence of Christ in the assemblies of Christians is promised, and may in faith be prayed for and depended on; There am I. This is equivalent to the Shechinah, or special presence of God in the tabernacle and temple of old, Ex. 40:34; 2 Chr. 5:14.Though but two or three are met together, Christ is among them; this is an encouragement to the meeting of a few. When we cannot do what we would in religion, we must do as we can, and God will accept us. They are hereby directed to gather together in Christ’s name. They are hereby encouraged with an assurance of the presence of Christ; There am I in the midst of them. By his common presence he is in all places, as God; but this is a promise of his special presence. Where his saints are, his sanctuary is, and there he will dwell; it is his rest (Ps. 132:14), it is his walk (Rev. 2:1); he is in the midst of them, to quicken and strengthen them, to refresh and comfort them, as the sun in the midst of the universe. He is in the midst of them, that is, in their hearts; it is a spiritual presence, the presence of Christ’s Spirit with their spirits, that is here intended. A father takes care of all his children, but is particularly tender of the little ones, Gen. 33:13. He is their Father in heaven, a place of prospect, and therefore he sees all the indignities offered them; and a place of power, therefore he is able to avenge them. This comforts offended little ones, that their Witness is in heaven (Job 16:19), their Judge is there, Ps. 68:5. When we get together and agree in prayer in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ the Father said it will be done. God’s people need to realize this and stand fast in the promise and not waver and have doubts. When I pray for you I believe with all my heart and soul my Father which is in Heaven will hear my prayer. IF you don’t come into agreement with me what were praying about you are going to hinder because you do not believe by faith. God said ask and it shall be done.
