District 6 SKYWARN meets on the 145.470 with a tone of 118.8, this is the primary frequency the net will be called on..
The backup frequency will be the 146.730 with a tone of 118.8,
Sevier County local Skywarn members can meet on 443.225 with a tone of 100.
Please note that tones will not be used unless we are having issues with interference,the tones only cover up the problems if there are any...
District 5 SKYWARN meets on the 146.940 with a 118.8 tone as the primary, and a back up of 147.360 with a 100 tone as the secondary, Jason Rouch is the DEC for District 5,

This years class for Sevier County had 34 new and re certified Skywarn members, thanks to all the amateur radio operators and emergency personal who attended the 2010 class in Sevierville TN.....we are already making plans for next years class and hope we have another great turn out as we have in the past several years....

THE BASIC LIST:
This is the primary list for our kits. It works well with what we have available to us today. Flexibility is dependent on daily activity. In this case, we will pack up the chargers and leave out the candy and snacks. BE PREPARED

* Note:
Pencils for writing. Pens often fail, freeze in the cold, and they smear in rain. It's good to have an extra Pen around if you're at the Bank and need to cash a check. Other then that, stick to using a Pencil. They can be sharpened with a pocket knife and cost almost nothing to replace.
